«The Shelteratelier» is an investigation into personal places of shelter, resulting in a poetic exhibition to which we can all contribute. Together with the artist Salomé Mooij, each visitor creates a mini-model in a one-on-one conversation. These models are tangible symbols of the places that bring us to a rest and can harbor us. Places where the noise of life can calm down, and we can come into contact with another layer of existence, one that sometimes seems hard to touch, but is essential and necessary to ground ourselves. It is a place where an outside world coincides with an inside world, for a moment.

The small works may be taken home or donated to the constantly growing collection of these mini places of shelter. The collection travels with the project as an exhibition.

Please book your slot for the interactive performance. The exhibition is freely accessible to all during opening hours.

Salomé Mooij works as a performer, clown and interdisciplinary artist. She makes in situ works characterized by a desire to explore, unfold and connect the micro and macro levels in our existence. Her works are best described as playful explorations in which we can gently and with an open gaze look at ourselves, others and the world around us.
